Ok so I'm never done this before and I'm not sure how it works. I figure this will be interesting to look back on when I'm older to see where I was at certain points of my life and how I've changed. I keep writing as if someone else will be reading this however I'm telling myself this is just for me so I can be honest about what I write rather than filtering what I write. Ok so I guess I can start off by saying where I'm at right now in life. Things are going pretty well and I'm at a really good place.
Work - Party Packagers. This is a priority in my life right now. I love my job and I love being able to make a difference that benefits the company. I know I have good ideas and understand enough to come up with new ideas and processes to help the company grow. It's great to finally see I'm being noticed by the people that matter and can help me grow in the company. At the end of the day, I'm just trying to set my life path in a way that will make me lots of money because really, that's important. I want to be able to have what I want. I'm materialistic and I want nice things. I want to be able to do as much as I can in life because this is the one chance I have to live it and I don't want to have any boundaries I have to follow when it comes to money stopping me. I want a nice expensive car, I want a nice condo to live in, I want nice clothes all the time, I want to be able to look my very best every single day. Looking good, having nice things makes me feel good and at the end of the day feeling good everyday is what life is all about. With that said, I want to work as hard as I can to get a higher position at work. I know it will happen, it's just a matter of putting in my time right now.
Condo - I want to move out. I don't really have any issues living at home but I just need to take the next step in my life to live on my own. Once I'm done with where I'm at with something I need to move on. If not, I feel like I'm just wasting time which I don't like to do. The bigger picture to life is important to me and I always try to look at that to make my decisions. I need to move out now so I can experience living by myself for a few years. Just long enough until I can feel done with it so I can move on to the next. Marriage. I just like to do things step by step that way I can experience as much and feel like I'm completely over what I'm doing at that point before moving on to the next. When I do things this way I won't have any regrets or look back and say I wish I was still at that point in my life. I honestly don't think I've done that so far where I look back and wish I was at a certain age of my life again. I just see others (my dad, friends) do that and I just don't ever want to feel that way. I feel people just sit there and have life just happen but I like to be in control as much as I can and make things happen for me. Back to the condo. I'm ready to live on my own, so I can do my own laundry, cook, bake, stay in and do nothing, have friends over, whatever. I know I will learn a lot about myself. I'm excited about cooking! I don't cook anything now but I know I will really have a lot of fun with it. I want to invite my parents and Steve over for dinner. Even just have Steve over to watch a movie. I think it will really make the relationship I have with my family stronger. Not seeing them all the time will play a big part with that.
Financial Plans - I bought a condo last year. Initially I was looking to buy something I can move eventually but than my Realtor told me I had to see it as an investment. The difference was I would than have to find something that had features that the majority of people look for instead of things I want. So I did. I bought a small, trendy, fairly new condo downtown. I would not live there. I would but downtown doesn't work since I drive and the bedroom is sort of an open concept. I would love to live downtown but it won't work for me. A year went by so quickly! A few weeks ago I just bought another condo. This time, one I can live in. I really like the place. The location works great for me - close to home, downtown and work. I really like the layout of the place, plus it has a den which turned out to be a bonus. I wasn't looking for a den but the price seemed good so I went with it. It's the first and only condo I looked at when I started looking and everything happened so fast. I don't normally get stressed but my dad was initially so negative about it, it made me rethink everything over and over again and question what I was doing. I always think things through very well so I am not hesitant when I make decisions but he is so negative sometimes this time it got to me.
